Let's dive in and get clear on purpose.
K. Margaret: Alright. Hello again, Christina. How are you?
Christina: I'm good. How about you? Kay, Margaret?
K. Margaret: I'm good. I'm excited. I did my own little monthly review in, in preparation for this, but I know there's always inspiration and insight that comes out of it. I will start by saying last month you, uh, reminded us of the power of letting go and like going with the flow and that has come up a lot for me and also kind of was forefront in my.
Looking at September, so I'm curious. [00:02:00] Same if it came up for you. Did it did
Christina: same? Yeah. I, um, I think when we had gone back and when I was looking at August, I had all these intentions for like creation and movement and doing all these things. And then I think that it had come out like relax and, and let go and go with the flow.
And I feel like I had a very like, happy marriage of the two of those because. We had some things come up and some visits come that we weren't expecting, which was wonderful. And then like, went up north for a few days that we weren't sure that we were gonna be able to do and just got back from that the other day.
And so I feel like I didn't have this like, set all these things, but then when I'm, again, when I'm looking back, I'm like. I did a lot of the outreach stuff that I wanted to, I did all these different things that I wanted to, and also there were days where I just like completely let go of any idea or any of my intentions of what I needed to or wanted to do, [00:03:00] and was just really present with what we had going on.
And did just kinda lean into that a little bit more, and that felt really good most of the time. I mean, I came back from. Up north and then we had no groceries and we have like, you know, there's still stuff that needs to happen, but still life. But it just, it felt really good to be able to just kind of like lean into.
What was happening and allow that flow to come. So what did it look like for you?
K. Margaret: I think for me it's expansiveness. I think that's something that's come from these conversations this summer. Um, and also I had an astrology reading recently and there was this idea of, it's. Stilling Reinstiling healthy habits and like asking me what was different lately and I realized it's that expansiveness of summer.
I feel like summer naturally feels like it has longer days 'cause of more sunlight, but the, it's the time. Like I was sure that when we went back to the school year and starting into the fall stuff, it would, I would just feel the crunch again. [00:04:00] And I, knock on wood, don't feel it in that way. Like I still feel the expansiveness where at the end of the day maybe.
I just stop worrying about the busy work and spend a few minutes reading or sit outside or play a game with my kids. Like there's this, somehow this expansiveness during the week and not just this crunch during the week and waiting to breathe for the weekend, which I, I really appreciate. And I think that for me is kind of how that letting go has manifested.
Christina: Yeah I really do appreciate and resonate with that expansive feel. We had, oh, I mean, as much of the country, we had a lot of heat over the past couple of months, which I typically love the heat because we don't have it very long. Um, but, um,
K. Margaret: you melt like the rest of us.
Christina: Yes. We, we only melt for a short period though, so we have to enjoy the melting.
But when we went up north and we came back and it was like when we went up there, it was like it was. An index of a hundred a [00:05:00] few days ago, and now I'm like in a sweatshirt, shivering, and we're fifties. But it felt like a little bit of that transition. And we've been doing, um, they have a weekly outdoor concert, um, in town here.
And so we've been going for most of those during the week. And all of 'em have been like just very warm and sunshine and whatever. And we came back and it was just, it felt a little bit. Sudden where it felt colder. 'cause we came back and it was cooler, still not, not as cold down here, but it was cooler still.
And then just the sun setting earlier. 'cause normally it's been setting, you know, closer to nine and now it was like setting and it was getting a little dark by the end of the concert and, um, it felt like that. Oh, well we, we hit fall already. Like, I'm still, I, I still want a few more weeks here.
We don't, we don't technically hit fall for a few more weeks, but it felt like this kind of sun switch. [00:06:00] But at the same time, normally that'll turn me into a little bit of a tailspin of like, oh my gosh, and winter is coming and all these things. But because I had relaxed so much into all the summer and because.
I knew looking forward that we still had these weeks of life. I was like, you know what? I'm just gonna enjoy this coolness and that the, we get to have the sunset here and be able to appreciate because I felt like I had really taken advantage. Of all of it while it was here. Mm-hmm. And it did feel that expansive where it wasn't like I got to the end again, like I'm holding out for my last few weeks here still, or however long, less.
But like getting towards the end of it, it doesn't feel like where I would normally be like, oh my gosh, I needed to get so many things in. And it just went by so fast. It felt like full and lovely and just. Like we did all of the things that I kind of wanted to do and I really felt like I took advantage of it.
[00:07:00] And at the same time, it wasn't that push energy. So I do feel, and you're talking about that expansiveness of time, like it just felt like there was enough.
K. Margaret: Yeah. More than enough. And yeah, that felt really good. Excuse me. I was curious what other things you have to celebrate from this past month besides the good vibes.
Christina: Yeah, I think that, you know, I've talked about like reaching out and doing more creation and I have done something and some of it's taken different turns than I have anticipated in necessarily taking I've been doing a little bit more of writing and doing things like that, but it's kind of been more internal.
But looking at things like even like doing the outreach and talking to different people and communities and being able to have that, and that's, that's feeling really good. But also like my daughter and I just sat there and she has had this little embroidery kit for a while and she had pulled it out.
So we were looking at that and doing it and she was like, yeah, like [00:08:00] we're gonna be heading into more of the internal stuff. Like I can go ahead and grab one of those. So I'm like learning to embroider with her, like next to her. And just like some of those things which are just things that normally I maybe would.
Have pushed aside or not like really noticed, but I was like, you know what, this is creating too. Like I'm creating stuff, I'm doing things, I'm just trying new things and being able to do it with her was really nice. And my son came back in August, which was great 'cause he'd been gone for a while. So kind of getting back into that rhythm.
I did notice that when I'm looking at our. Transition and, you know, we school year round, I do all this stuff year round, so it's not like a big transition, but I usually do take the opportunity to kind of re-look at everything and with the change of seasons and everything anyway. And realizing where like my meal planning and prep when I've been doing it has been great.
Um. When we got back from trips or whatever and didn't have that, that not [00:09:00] being there, I noticed that big difference where that was kind of like our everyday before. Um, so noticing and getting on track with that and just like noticing different things of what do I want these weeks to look like? How can I give the attention that they need and also that I need to be able to do that.
And really just like intentionally sitting down and working with, and I think you had mentioned like meal planning through chat GPT, but I was like. Going through there and I was like, I need all of these things and I want you to give me, like, I want this here. Like ask me questions so I can determine what the best week look like for me might be.
I had heard a quote that was like, flexibility without structure is just chaos. And I was like, ah, yes, I do feel that sometimes. So I was like, can I, can we get a little bit more structure in here? And, and coming out with this new iteration. 'cause you know, we're constantly evolving and changing of what a schedule might look like.
That'll really be able to give the time that I want for the things that I want with them, and also still feel good [00:10:00] for me. So just like looking at and, and making those adjustments, I think is so great too.
K. Margaret: Yeah. What about. There's huge power in awareness, so that's all. Sounds incredibly impressive. I, for me, I most enjoyed, I redid my website, so that was big for me 'cause it was thinking more about how I'm presenting myself or how to clearly communicate the information or how to.
Clarify it and pair it down. I'm doing more interviews. I'm also wanna celebrate that and that also is getting me talking and, and it helps because oh, we were just talking about human design before, but as a. Generator, correct me if I'm wrong, my something is response. So hearing other people ask me questions about what's they find interesting about what I do, I find it all interesting and it's really easy.
I think too, when you dive deep into a subject to forget, not everybody else is, uh, you know, that far into it. So having those questions has really helped me [00:11:00] see that and see how I wanna present it, and it just felt ready to go to like the next level. Like, Hey, I can do a little bit better. So that I really enjoyed, i've been having trouble writing lately, so I joined to do writing group and I'm really excited about that, just to kind of like get the flow going. I think those are my biggest ones. I did join Insight Timer, the app, but I've yet to have my first audios approved. I'm not sure how long it's going on.
Two weeks, and it's like. You know, in this day and age, you don't wait two weeks for anything. Right. It feels like forever. So hopefully next month I'll have more news about that experiment, but yeah, that's great.
Christina: Oh, I love that. And I have been looking at some of my things. I love that you got your website done.
That's a whole thing. Right? I feel like I probably need to go through and do a overview of mine again, but. I am not doing that right now. I'm not, I'm not, I'm not prioritizing that right now. But I love that. I think that even when going [00:12:00] back and like looking at what you had before and seeing how you evolved and changed Yes.
How you clarify more. And just noticing that is kind of cool too, because you can kind of see that, oh, well I was here before, but now like this is my message and this is, and I have this. Additional skillset, or I have these additional things that I do, or I know this much more about myself and my clients.
K. Margaret: Yes. And I love how you said like trying new skills and keeping that door open to opportunity. I've been reading more and trying and reading different books and I feel like that for me has also left that door open for better or worse, but like the universe has been bringing more emotional triggers into my path in the past couple of weeks.
I am able to see them for what they are. Maybe not at the moment, but still at the end of the day I'm like, oh, okay. I need to grow in this area. Or oh, this limiting belief is still holding me back. And I love how keeping that door open, always learning and growing and invites that next level. [00:13:00] Growth.
Christina: Yeah, growth, I think too, I, what I have been noticing as well is, we've been dealing with the transition with having everybody back home and like trying to get some stuff done and trying to manage all of the, all of the everything, you know, all the sleepovers and all the things and lack of sleep and all these, the stuff that's going on.
And so I noticed that I was. I was still doing, I'm still doing like my workouts, I'm still doing my morning stuff, but it all shifted a little bit later. Um, which was fine for the most part. But also what I was missing is, you know, I was doing my meditation stuff, but I had not been doing my morning pages, which I do pretty regularly.
K. Margaret: Is that writing or journaling? Yeah. So
Christina: journaling, it's just three pages and then you just, whatever comes out. Oh. It's from the artist's way, I think is where it originally came. But you just do, it's just stream of consciousness. So you're just like getting out. The writing
K. Margaret: club I joined is a 10 minute thing.
Like a prompt Once a week. Yeah. 10 minutes, no editing, just go. [00:14:00] Yeah. Similarly, just
Christina: go. And I really didn't think it was that big of deal, but I, I have it on my, on my list and then I was just like, oh, like I'll do my meditation, I'll go for my walk and I'll get my workout in and then come back and like do breakfast.
'cause I just don't have the. I just don't have the time like I did before, and trying to fit all that stuff in. And I didn't think it was that big of a deal. And then the other day I just had realized I was just, I had no patience. I had no anything. Like, I was just like, I just need to come back. I need to recenter.
I need to regroup. And one of my kids came in and she's like, but you know, I want you to come look at this. Like, I just need a few minutes. I need to sit here and I just need to, and she's like, but you're not even doing anything. You're just interested. Was like, I am, I need to like emotionally regulate.
And I took out my, uh, notebook and I just did my writing and I was like, okay, so this thing that I thought that I was upset about mm-hmm. And like was actually not, it's this other [00:15:00] stuff. And I was able to come back. Just like a whole different, and it changed the whole rest of the day. It was beautiful.
It was lovely. We got more things done than I thought that we were going to.
K. Margaret: Mm-hmm. Um, the term I keep hearing is emotionally constipated. I've had trouble journaling too, and it's still, I feel like, stuck and then I start journaling a little bit. Exactly. It starts flowing again and you're like, oh, right.
Christina: And like just really like little investment
K. Margaret: Big Richard.
Christina: Exactly. It was just that little bit of self-reflection and I think of myself and I think that you probably would agree with this for you too, but like I feel like I'm a pretty self-aware person. Like I am pretty, I notice my changes. I notice where I need to make adjustments most of the time.
So I didn't, I thought I knew what was going on. Like I thought that I knew all the stuff that was going on, and then I was like, oh, but actually these other things that I've just kind of been pushing down are showing up and it's, it's showing up in this way where then I think that this is the problem that I'm having, but it's not, and like I didn't [00:16:00] solve anything.
I didn't change anything. Nothing in my circumstances changed. Nothing in like. But because I just had that awareness, I was able to then show up differently because it was like, oh, well this is the problem over here. Like this is the next wall. Yes, I've had that
K. Margaret: too, where I've been shown like I'm, I have a certain mindset and way of thinking and knowing what I wanna do, and then I kind of get called out by the universe and how I'm.
Acting like what my actions are, they don't match. And then that comes to head and I'm like, what's going on? And then I journal. I'm like, oh, you gotta work on that.
Christina: Oh. Oh, that's good.
K. Margaret: That's why you're approaching it this way. Old paradigm, not helpful. But now that we know we can Right. Be aware and slowly change it.
Christina: But knowing and just being able to like take the minutes and I was like, okay, so this is something I need to prioritize again, is just doing this at least if I'm not doing it every day, at least doing it much more regularly. But even just having the time, if I don't do it in the morning, [00:17:00] to do it when I, and know that's a tool that I can use.
'cause I think sometimes I do at the end of the day, yeah, these tools in our toolbox, but we don't always necessarily use them. Mm-hmm. And so I just wanna like make sure that I'm coming back to the things that I know recalibrate me.
K. Margaret: Yeah. Amen. Alright. September, what are you looking forward to this month?
Or Yeah. Planning or exciting or wanna try or what are you thinking?
Christina: You know, I've been, I've been looking at it a little bit and I think that September for me is a little bit of like that fresh start, that January-ish energy. Um, just because even though again we school ro like, it's just. The energy around is much more.
Okay, this is new. We have the opportunity to kind of start over and, and check in with our stuff. So I am, I think maybe recalibrating is what I'm gonna be doing for September as we start that transition into autumn. But moving and looking at. The schedules and the things that I'm doing and looking [00:18:00] at simplifying some of the stuff that I am looking at, because I tend to, in September is like, grab everything.
It's like, oh, we got to, we're gonna do it all. We're going to, we're gonna do everything and then I can get a little overwhelmed. So looking at simplifying what I am wanting to do and make the things that I am doing intentional and. Focused on where we are and like having the ability to move into more of that, you know, implementing a new schedule, getting into some more.
My oldest is, you know, gonna be in high school next year, so like adding in more things and like looking at his schooling a little bit different. And he's gonna be doing, sports with the local school. 'Cause they don't have a rec league for his age, for what he wants to do right now. So that'll be different in changing.
Mm-hmm. And I don't have a lot of the information about what that looks like. So there's a lot of things that are kind of up in the air right [00:19:00] now, but allowing that flow that I've been feeling from August, but then working on bringing in more than intentionality as I start to recalibrate.
K. Margaret: That sounds great.
I don't really know. I was so set on the letting go and kind of, I think I've set, I. A lot of the new patterns that I'm enjoying. Um, more outreach for my new home frequency service and working, getting, keep writing. I'm working on my next book, which is actually about podcasting. I'm really enjoying that.
And making podcast episodes is kind of a lot of the same, but like I did with a website and clarifying, it feels like an opportunity to, be more me, whether that's me learning more or allowing myself to shine more or expressing myself more clearly. That kind of recalibrating and allowing myself.
That space to lead and embody it more. I don't know if that makes sense, but [00:20:00] that's what I would love for September.
Christina: Yeah. I almost see it a little bit too as like a refining, like you have all this stuff. Yeah. Working and then like taking it to that next level and just kind of expanding, going deeper.
K. Margaret: Yeah, so that I, yeah, so that I can do more of what I love so that I can do more of the services, so I can tell more people about it so I can collaborate more. Being, you know, it's making sure that. Who I am and what I am doing is clearer to others. I how I present myself and how I am confident in myself, that that kind of refining I look forward to
Christina: that is totally Virgo energy.
That's perfect. Is
K. Margaret: it
Christina: that refining, that aligning that like editing? Yeah. Well
K. Margaret: then I'm feeling it. I just bought my new orange top. I'm all here. I come Even though it's yeah, quite warm here.
Christina: Even though you're still, you're still nice and toasty. Yes. Oh, well, what [00:21:00] else are, what else are you feeling?
What else has been coming up? Is there anything that, as you're looking at moving into this next stage, you know, kind of leaving this behind, I know we'll do a September one too, but that'll kind of be, the actual, it'll be transition of into seasons more, but are there anything that you think are unfinished that you wanna kind of.
Go back on or things that you wanna leave behind because kind of moving in the fall and like letting go of some things?
K. Margaret: Ooh, that's a good question. I think what I wanna let go of is this feeling that I always need to create something new to be desirable. That is a past habit. I'm hopefully getting over.
I really like what I've created and what I offer, and I get really positive feedback about it. So I think focusing less on changing my offer and focusing more on [00:22:00] finding a greater audience or, um, sharing it with more people or ex just getting more experience that kind of, more of what I already have is a new feeling for me a little bit because I've, for years, been working on myself and pivoting my business to try to find that thing that not only am I good at, but I love.
And I finally have found that this year with, with this home energy work, and, and it just keeps, you know, I'm learning a lot about feng shui and I'm learning, like today I just learned there's this thing as, there's such thing as astro Feng shui who knew. So every day there's something new and I'm. Oh wait, I can go learn that.
Or I've been doing like a little series on on different like lighting in the air and the things in your home that affect. And yesterday I was interviewed and these women were asking me about, about like, well what if you live in a space that's not yours? Like one lives in Airbnbs for a few months at [00:23:00] a time 'cause she's a traveling nurse.
Or what do you feel? You live in a high rise. And I was like, well I have a little experience with that, but not a lot. This is great. I get to go dive into that. So there like. New things keep coming up and, and I just look forward to not feeling the need to, and I feel like that's tied a little bit to like, proving yourself or this belief that you have, like, you build it and they will come, which I also don't believe in anymore.
It's more about me being shining that light and then people attracted to that. And so that's what I wanna work on.
Christina: Well and getting more set. And you yourself, as like that lighthouse that's attracting in instead of like moving and constantly,
K. Margaret: yes.
Christina: Being a flashlight in all these different areas. So being able to just kind of like hold your own energy and your own self, and then being able to push that out a little bit more.
K. Margaret: Yeah, I love that image. I'm gonna hold that for quite a while. 'cause [00:24:00] it's opposite what I was conditioned or what I learned. What I learned is, you know, you have to mold yourself in 50 different ways to get a job so that you can make money so that you can survive and help your family. Mm-hmm. You're not doing enough.
Go do it 50 other different ways you can try to find one more source of income. So it the mindset shift, even though that's what I want and I think that's part of what the universe has been showing me lately. It's not just. The mindset shift, which takes a lot of work. It's then the actions that result from that mindset.
How can you, how can I really align those two shine?
Christina: Yeah. While you're talking, it's, it's making me think more too because as I'm looking at the work that I do and, you know, the programs and, and coaching packages that I offer and having, you know, I've had my main. One-on-one packages that I do.
And then I did the minis over the summer. And I think that as I'm moving forward, like being able to [00:25:00] continue to offer both, I think 'cause I do like the energy that the different ones bring. And like you're saying like. Part of me thinks as you're going into it, like, oh, well each quarter you should have a different, you know, launch a different program or launch a different, yeah, I
K. Margaret: miss launches.
Yeah, I was thinking about that as you were talking too.
Christina: Yeah. But maybe it's just looking at it and saying like, these are the things that are really working. And then being able, like you're saying, just put it out there more of this is what it is, this is what I have the capacity for. And I think that's one of the things that I've been realizing too, is that.
As I'm looking at, you know, adding more clients or doing more things like making sure that I have the capacity. And that's kind of been what I've been looking at when I'm doing this recalibration, is making sure that I have space for more to come in. Because if I'm constantly going and constantly like doing and rushing and, and pushing it the way that it was going now, which is part of the reason why the minis came about too, was just because.[00:26:00]
If I'm gonna take on more clients, then at that point it's me just trying to fit them in to these like spaces. 'cause I already have all this or like working my life around them, and that's not the energy that I want either. And so I think that part of it is if I'm saying that I want more, how do I clear space?
So that I can bring in what I'm wanting. Mm-hmm. And I love working with clients that are aligned. I love working and digging in and being able to do all of that. So that work really does light me up and I would love to be able to do more of that. And so being able to like create the space so that when I have my.
Focused work times and when I have my whatever, it wasn't just me like, okay, and I've gotta get podcast episodes and now I gotta get emails out and I gotta like do all this admin things. Like when was the time that I was supposed that I was bringing in more of these like intentional, full focused coaching, thi [00:27:00] coaching opportunities.
So then I felt like, oh, well I have to scale back completely and just offer like the minis because I don't have the capacity for it. But wanting to be able to really go deeper with clients and being able to have that capacity again and opening that up. And so I love that, just creating that space.
K. Margaret: Well, and it makes so much sense from where I'm coming from. 'cause in the home energy work, I talk about that a lot, that even like a five minute tidy up and decluttering, just like not getting overwhelmed with it, but. Spending the time and doing a little bit allows the energy to flow and creates that space for new opportunities.
So to think of your schedule as your home for the day and to create intentional space, even if it's not full right away, but say, Hey, this is what I wanna welcome in. That'll make you think I like that a lot.
Christina: It's like having the what the open shelves in your home or something, and how that just feels so abundant and excessive because like who has.
The ability to just have an open shelf. Everything's always shoved in. It's always all [00:28:00] full. So yeah. Doing that in your life,
K. Margaret: yeah. Oh, that makes a lot of sense.
Christina: Perfect. Um, is there anything else that you wanna hit for?
K. Margaret: No. Are you grabbing for some cards?
Christina: I have some, yeah. Yeah. So, um, this month I pulled community.
K. Margaret: Okay.
Christina: And it's ancient forest. The towering ancient trees in a forest look distinct from one another, yet beneath the surface of the earth, their roots are intertwined. The roots act like kind, like a kind of communication system throughout the community of trees. Instantaneous messages travel through this underground system.
Nutrients can travel on this network. Trees at one side of the forest can supply the nourishment required on the other side of the forest. Danger at one end of the network is communicated to the far end of the intertwined roots. Support is all around you, [00:29:00] even if you are not consciously aware of it.
Allow yourself to be supported, give encouragement to others. The more you allow yourself to be supported, the more your dreams can come True. If you believe that you have to do it all alone, you will. Your true family is not just blood relationships. Sometimes the strongest family ties are friends who know who you are.
Sometimes they are, are your ancestors and soul family who reside in spirit. This speaks of finding your community and your people. It's remembering that your people are at your side, believing in you, loving you, and standing strong beside you. Call on your community and ask for their assistance.
They are only a thought away.
K. Margaret: Amen. I love that, but I, when you were reading, I was also hearing that the space, creating that space is also supportive. I think for me it's really easy to think like in the expansiveness of the day, if I stop being obviously [00:30:00] physically productive, then somehow it's a minus when actually, like you said, being creative and embroidering as opposed to being creative in your business is still being creative, is still.
Raising that vibration and helping everything else, so yeah. How exciting.
Christina: Yeah. Yeah. And I think that it is, whenever I read that one, it's always such a reminder to me as somebody who is fiercely independent to a flaw sometimes. And being able to know that if I am willing and open and allowing for.
Support and help and asking for support and help, which is real tough. Yeah, I'm working on that too, right, working
K. Margaret: because I love to just take care of everything. 'cause I know I can, but that's not the best thing.
Christina: Yes, I can do it all. I can manage, I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm drowning here, but it's fine. But being able to have that and what a benefit it is.[00:31:00]
For you, but also for the person that's, that's being able to provide that for you as well. I think that Amen. A lot of times I can feel like I need to be the strong one or I need to, you know, do the things and be there for other people, but also allowing other people to be there for me too is so beneficial and it really does have that like back and forth of the relationship rather than, feeling more one sided or, again, like leading to burnout for the person that's just trying to manage. Yeah.
K. Margaret: But with relationships, I once heard that building trust doesn't happen when you offer help. It happens when you ask for help. Ooh. Yeah. So it is very. There are so many facets to what you just said, but it is, it is.
Be better. We're made to be in community.
Christina: I'm gonna have to sit with that one kmar.
That, that's a good, that's a good little reminder there. So,
K. Margaret: yeah. Well, thank you so much. I, [00:32:00] you know, I always love these conversations. and happy September.
